VILLAGE LINK CARLTON TO DRAX

   VILLAGE LINK-  Carlton to Drax (3 miles)

1. From Carlton Village Hall  Car Park turn right onto Church Lane

2. Turn left on High Street

3.Turn right on Mill Lane.  After the houses on the left hand side of the road, there is a field and then a track. 

4.   Walk up the track

5.Go straight, passing a public footpath sign. When the track veers to the right,go straight on, over the dyke bridge and through the       space in the bushes/trees.

6. Walk straight across the field ( it is a right of way) to the sign and stile.

7.Don't go over the stile, but turn right and follow the field edge with the hedge on your left.

8.Go through the gap in the hedge and turn left.

9. Walk along the field edge with the dyke on your left.

10 When you reach the dyke bridge, turn right and walk across the field (right of way). Keep straight on until you reach a bridge.. 

11. Cross the bridge and walk across the field (right of way) in a 2 o'clock direction, heading for a way marker

12. At the way marker, walk in a straight line to another way marker.

13. Turn slightly left and walk on the field edge around the corner of the field until you reach another way marker and a stile.

14. Go over the stile and walk horizontally over the field (right of way) to another stile.

15. Go over the stile and turn left on the track to the main road (A645).

16. Cross the road, through the gate and walk along the lane.

17. At the end,turn left and then sharp right up Mill Lane Drax.

18. At the end of Mill Lane, turn right to Drax village centre.
